Accident: Afton driver backs into parked SUV

No injuries were reported New Year’s Eve in a two-vehicle accident in Afton.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s Office report, at approximately 6:37 p.m. a 2024 Ram Laramie, driven by Jayden M. Neubauer, 25, of Afton, was backing up in a private driveway in the 900 block of Filmore Street when it hit a 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer that was legally parked next to the Ram.

Neubauer did not see the Chevrolet which was unoccupied at the time of the collision.

Damage to the Ram was estimated at $1,000 and damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $2,000.
