At this point officers were able to see a laceration above his eye that was actively bleeding and smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Irons and a female in the residence.
Both Irons and the female told officers Irons’ had been in a fight with another male, who had beat Irons up. While officers were speaking to them, the male pulled up to the front of the residence and was detained for officer safety.
While officers continued to investigate, Irons was heard yelling at EMS personnel. Irons is known by officers to become agitated and aggressive when he has been drinking. Attempts were made to calm him down, but due to his intoxication level, they were unsuccessful.

A confrontation ensued in the kitchen where Irons grabbed a knife from a drawer and told the male that it would be the last time he left breathing.
Eventually the juvenile was able to get the knife away from Irons and the other male hit him above his left eye, knocking him to the ground. A short fight ensued before the juvenile and other male left to de-escalate the situation. They returned after seeing law enforcement at the residence.
The other male gave a similar account of the events. Irons, who refused any medical care, was asked multiple times for a statement but was ultimately uncooperative.
