Accident: Driver fails to yield to traffic

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 2:19 p.m., a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Maggie E. Stuart, 37, of Creston, was eastbound on Mills Street when it collided with a 2004 Ford Edge, driven by Phyllis J. Shilling, 67, of Greenfield, at the Spruce Street intersection.

The Edge was southbound on Spruce Street and failed to yield the right-of-way from the yield sign at the intersection, causing the accident.

Damage to the Edge was estimated at $3,000 and damage to the Grand Cherokee was estimated at $1,500.
