Creston Police: Woman punched in face during argument

Taylor D. Fleming, 30, of Creston, was taken into custody 2:42 a.m. Oct. 28, at her residence on the charge of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 1:50 a.m. an assault was reported at the Manor Drive apartment complex. The victim, an adult female, was observed bleeding from the mouth, due to her tooth going through her upper lip. She stated Fleming had punched her in the mouth.

Police spoke with all parties involved and a witness, determining Fleming and the victim had been arguing. This resulted in Fleming going over to where the victim was standing and punching her in the face.

Fleming was transported to the Adams County Jail and held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.
