Accident: Two accidents were reported Friday in Creston

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Friday in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:28 a.m. a 2014 GMC Sierra, driven by Jami S. Fletchall, 37, of Afton, was westbound on Taylor Street at the Sumner Avenue intersection. The light was green and the Sierra proceeded through the intersection where it collided with a 2019 KIA Sorrento, driven by Braelynn J. Rice, 16, of Corning.

The KIA was eastbound on Taylor Street, turning north onto Sumner Avenue on a green light, but failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic when the two vehicles collided.

Damage to the GMC was estimated at $500 and damage to the KIA was estimated at $1,000.

No injuries were reported in a Friday afternoon two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:49 p.m. a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Sydney L. Smith, 29, of Creston, was eastbound on Townline Street where it hit a 1999 Buick Regal, driven by Carson W. Beer, 17, of Creston, that was southbound exiting the Creston High School parking lot and failed to yield the right-of-way from the stop sign.

Beer told officers he looked before attempting to proceed across Townline St. but a larger vehicle was blocking his view of the Equinox.

Damage to the Equinox was estimated at $2,000 and damage to the Regal was estimated at $1,500.
