Creston Police: Intoxicated male in motel parking lot charged

Christian V. Garcia, 26, of Creston, was taken into custody 9:37 p.m. Oct. 2, in the 700 block of New York Avenue on the charge of public intoxication.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 8:45 p.m. officers made contact with Garcia in the Moonlight Motel parking lot. He was observed to have watery eyes, slurred speech and the odor of an alcoholic beverage, which got stronger as he spoke, coming from his person. He was also argumentative.

Garcia refused to provide a breath sample for testing but admitted to being drunk several times.

Garcia was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash bond.
