Accident: Lane change causes accident

No injuries were reported Wednesday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at apperoximately 6:11 p.m. a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Sara N. Keeler, 23, of Creston, was westbound in the inside lane on Townline Street. A vehicle in front of the Chevrolet abruptly changed lanes into the inside lane.

Keeler quickly attempted to move into the outside lane when the Chevrolet collided with a 2025 Kia K4, driven by Joaquin Flores, 16, of Creston, who was also westbound.

Keeler told officers she checked her mirrors and looked but did not see the Kia.

Damage to the Kia was estimated at $700 and damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $1,000.
