A Riverton man told deputies he has no memory of an accident Monday, but woke up in his overturned vehicle.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s Office report, at approximately 12:28 a.m. a 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara, driven by Hayden D. Thompson, 18, of Riverton, was northbound on Highway 34.

Tire tracks show the Suzuki left the road and went into the east shoulder before crossing the highway and entering the west shoulder. The Suzuki continued into the ditch where it overturned.

Thompson was trapped in the vehicle and required extrication to get out. He complained of minor pain and was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health.

Damage to the Suzuki was estimated at $10,000.
