Troy R. Howard, 41, of Creston, was taken into custody 7:34 p.m. Aug. 27, at Pine and Mills streets on the charge of violation of a no contact/protective order - contempt.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 5:20 p.m. Howard was served on a protective order. Howard did not allow law enforcement to explain the order to him at the time of service.
At approximately 7:15 p.m. Howard was observed in the vicinity of the protected party on Pine Street. He admitted to officers he knew the protected party was the driver of the vehicle in front of him.
Howard was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from on his own recognizance on a promise to appear.
