No citations were issued in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:10 p.m. a 2011 Ford F150, driven by Dallas L. Maeder, 78, of Corning, was backing out of a parking space at the Creston Family Restaurant when he hit a 2013 Chrysler 200.
The Chrysler was parked and unoccupied at the time. A witness stated Maeder got out of the truck, looked at his vehicle and seeing no damage, got back in the truck and left the scene. The witness was able to get a license plate number and provided the information to the owner of the Chrysler.
Damage to the Ford was estimated at $50 and damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $1,500.

A driver and passenger were injured Wednesday when their vehicle was struck by a semi in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:35 p.m. a 2025 Ford Explorer, driven by Lorraine K. Murphy, 51, of Creston, was southbound in the 200 block of Osage Street when the Explorer was hit by a 1990 Peterbilt semi, driven by David A. Travis, 65, of Creston.
Travis, who was exiting the Co-op parking lot and attempting to turn into the northbound lane of Osage Street, said he looked for traffic but did not see the Explorer until it was too late to avoid the collision.
Murphy and her 77-year-old passenger were transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health for minor injuries.
Damage to the Explorer was estimated at $15,000 and damage to the Peterbilt was estimated at $2,500.

Two semis were damaged in a two-vehicle accident Thursday in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:54 p.m. a 2009 Peterbilt semi with flatbed trailer, driven by Jerry R. Qualls, 78, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and a 1997 Freightliner tractor-trailer, driven by Todd B. Kirk, 57, of Creston, were both eastbound on Taylor Street.
After looking in his side mirrors, Qualls attempted to turn the Peterbilt south on Maple Street from the inside lane and turned into the path of the Freightliner traveling in the outside lane.
The front passenger side tire of the Peterbilt made contact with the front driver’s side tires of the Freightliner’s trailer, causing damage to each semi.
Damage to the Peterbilt was estimated at $5,000 and damage to the Freightliner was estimated at $2,000.
