Alin Armega, 51, of Greenfield, Tennessee, was taken into custody 11:35 p.m. Aug. 12, in the 300 block of West Adams Street on the charge of domestic abuse assault - impeding air/blood flow, causing bodily injury.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:35 p.m. officers were called to a residence for a domestic dispute. On arrival, officers heard a loud argument coming from the apartment. A male, later identified as Armega, answered the door and was observed to have scratch marks on his neck. Armega had a large knife on his hip that was removed by officers.
Initially, the victim told officers the incident was just verbal but later stated Armega had pushed them to the ground in two rooms of the apartment and strangled them multiple times while striking their head against the floor and wall.
The victim had visible injuries to the head and neck and was transported by ambulance for medical treatment.
Armega was transported to the Union County Jail and held without bond until seen by the judge.

Mustang B. Rogers, 21, of Creston, was taken into custody 1:17 a.m. Aug. 13, at his residence, on the charge of domestic abuse assault - impeding air/blood flow.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:46 p.m. Aug. 12, officers responded to a report of roommates fighting. Officers spoke with both parties at the residence.
The victim told officers they and the male, identified as Rogers, had been in a verbal argument. Rogers followed the victim into the bathroom where he grabbed them by the neck. When the victim attempted to get away, he grabbed the victim’s wrist. The victim had marks on their neck, back and wrist.
Rogers stated he and the victim had been in a verbal argument and that the victim grabbed a knife and went into the bathroom. Rogers stated he followed the victim and tried to take the knife but the victim threw it to the side, so he bear hugged them to stop them from getting the knife again. He denied grabbing the victim by the neck and said he did not know where the marks were from.
Rogers was transported to the Union County Jail and held without bond until seen by the judge.
