Creston Police: Two arrested on assault charges Tuesday

Tiffany K. Warren, 42, of Creston, was taken into custody 2:13 p.m. July 22, at her residence on the charge of domestic abuse assault.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 1:31 p.m. a domestic assault was reported in the 400 block of Oak Street. The victim stated Warren tried to bite his face and he pushed her away. Warren then grabbed a metal cane and broke it over the victim’s forearm. The victim had a large bruise consistent with his account of the incident. At some point Warren had also brandished a knife.

The victim said Warren was dealing with some mental issues recently. Warren admitted to law enforcement that she had hit the victim.

Warren was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from on her own recognizance on a promise to appear after her initial appearance with the magistrate.

Alex R. Cunningham, 35, of Creston, was taken into custody 6:18 p.m. July 22, at his residence on the charge of domestic abuse assault causing injury, assault causing bodily injury and assault causing serious injury.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 5:11 p.m. Cunningham grabbed the first victim’s face, shook the victim and pushed him causing a cut to the victim’s head. The second victim was assaulted by Cunningham when he attempted to stop Cunningham from assaulting the second victim’s wife while they were attempting to stop the assault of the first victim. The second victim was slammed against the wall which caused cuts and scrapes.

The third victim, who was also attempting to stop Cunningham from assaulting the other victims, suffered broken ribs while fighting with Cunningham.

Cunningham was transported to the Union County Jail where he was held without bond until his initial appearance in court.
