Britney M. Wilson, 34, of Orient, was taken into custody 6:39 p.m. July 7, on the charges of domestic assault causing bodily injury and assault with bodily injury.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s Office report, at approximately 5:23 p.m. deputies responded to a residence on West Second Street in Orient for an assault that had just taken place.
When they arrived, an adult male and female were sitting outside and both had cuts and scrapes on their arms. The female also had a scrape on her leg, marks on her chest and said she had been punched in the face.
According to the victims, the male victim’s ex-wife, identified as Wilson, had shown up at the residence after the female had confronted her for talking poorly about her over the phone. The female told Wilson several times that she needed to leave but Wilson continued to walk toward the female victim and a physical altercation between the two females ensued. Wilson struck the female victim several times and pulled her hair before the male victim got between the two to try to stop the altercation but was struck by Wilson as well.
According to Wilson, she went to the residence because the female victim spoke badly about her children. Wilson stated the female swung at her first to start the altercation. Wilson had scrapes on her arms and a broken fingernail which was bleeding.
Wilson was transported to the Adair County Jail where she was released from on her own recognizance on a promise to appear.

Sharon A. Krstich, 73, of Clearfield, Utah, was taken into custody 2:43 a.m. July 9, on Southwest Seventh Street in Stuart on the charges of OWI, first offense, possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a Stuart Police report, at approximately 1:16 a.m. a 2006 Toyota Tacoma was observed exiting Interstate 80 at the Stuart exit, where it failed to yield and pulled out in front of a police car.
A traffic stop was initiated and the driver of the Tacoma slammed on the brakes and stopped in the middle of the road. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Krstich, who had slurred speech and the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from inside the vehicle. Krstich admitted she had been mixing Crown Royal in coffee she had been drinking and said her last drink was approximately two hours prior.
Krstich consented to and failed field sobriety testing. She consented to a PBT but was unable to provide an adequate breath sample due to a medical condition. A vape was observed in her purse, which she admitted contained THC.
A probable cause search of her purse was then conducted and resulted in two marijuana pipes and marijuana being located.
Krstich was transported to the Adair County Jail where she consented to provide a breath specimen for chemical testing. The result of the test indicated her BAC to be .071%.
Krstich was released from the Adair County Jail after posting 10% of a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Taylor J. Edelman, 33, of Adair, was taken into custody 2:55 p.m. July 11, in Adair on an Adair County warrant for the charges of harassment, first degree and disorderly conduct - obstructs highway/street/road with speed restrictions.
According to an Adair Police report, at approximately 10 p.m. June 20, Edelman was observed driving a vehicle on Fifth Street and slamming on the brakes and backing the vehicle up approximately 100 feet, fast enough to make the tires squeal. Edelman came to a stop, put the vehicle in park and got out in front of the Adair Fire Station to yell profanity at a fireman.
Edelman told officers he was mad because he told the fireman to give a truck gas and spin the tires in front of the kids and the fireman told him to knock it off. Officers were able to get Edelman to move his vehicle out of the roadway voluntarily into a parking lot. Arrangements were mad to have Edelman picked up and his truck to be driven home, where he was told to remain for the rest of the night.
The next day, officers spoke with members of the fire department who filled out witness statements about the incident. They stated that Edelman had also made threats to come back to the station and shoot up the building.
Edelman was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $5,000 cash or surety bond.

Travis Q. Wambold, 48, of Creston, was taken into custody 12:17 a.m. July 12, on 270th Street in Bridgewater on a Union County warrant for the charge of criminal mischief, second degree.
Wambold was transported and released to the custody of Union County deputies.

Cody A. Brommel, 30, of Stuart, was taken into custody 10:13 p.m. July 12, on Southeast Noble Street in Greenfield on the charge of harassment, third degree.
According to a Greenfield Police report, at approximately 7:38 p.m. Brommel was reportedly knocking on an apartment door and windows and refusing to leave. When officers arrived, they were unable to located Brommel and believed he had left the area.
At approximately 8:05 p.m. Brommel was again reported for being at the same location knocking on windows and doors. Brommel also called the reporting party an upwards of 20 different times making statements about not being afraid of cops, that the cops couldn’t stop him and that he had tried to be nice but that the reporting party was pushing him. Officers were again unable to locate Brommel.
At approximately 8:40 p.m. officers located a Chevrolet Equinox, registered to Brommel, parked in a parking space at the apartments. The driver, identified later as Brommel, had reclined the seat to conceal himself. Contact was made with Brommel and he was warned to stop making threatening phone calls and knocking on the apartment doors and windows and told if he did not, he would be arrested and charged.
At approximately 9:25 p.m. Brommel was reported being back at the apartment and knocking on its doors and windows. Officers witnessed Brommel outside the back bedroom window of the apartment knocking on the window aggressively.
Brommel was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.
