Two people were injured Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 1:10 p.m. a 2022 Buick Envision Essence, driven by Linda R. Huffman, 79, of Creston, was northbound on Pine Street, stopped at the Highway 34 intersection. At the same time, a 2018 Kia Sedona, driven by Jennifer L. Reha, 48, of Creston, was eastbound on the highway.
A service truck was parked in the outside lane of eastbound traffic doing work on power lines, obstructing Huffman’s view. The Buick proceeded through the intersection and was struck by the Kia that was traveling in the inside lane.
Huffman and Reha were both transported to the hospital by private parties for suspected minor/non-incapacitating injuries.
Damages to the Buick and the Kia were estimated at $5,000 each.
