No injuries were reported Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident in Union County.
According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, at approximately 2:20 p.m. a 2013 Subaru XVC station wagon, driven by Abigail R. Tallmon, 19, of Afton, was northbound on Lark Avenue when it reduced its speed for a slow-moving road grader.
A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Kristi A. Travis, 19, of Creston, was also northbound, behind the Subaru. The Chevrolet came over the crest of a hill and due to gravel dust, was unaware the Subaru had slowed down in enough time to avoid hitting it. The Chevrolet ran into the Subaru, causing disabling damage to both vehicles.
Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $10,000 each.
