William R. Johnson, 29, of Fontanelle, was taken into custody 7:43 p.m. April 17, in the 2000 block of Highway 92 on the charge of driving while revoked.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, at approximately 7:30 p.m. a 2007 GMC Yukon, driven by Johnson, was observed at the intersection of Fifth and Kent streets. Johnson is known to have a revoked license for an OWI test failure. Johnson’s information was ran prior to being stopped, and his license status was confirmed to be revoked.
A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with Johnson, who provided his old license to deputies. He stated he had got the interlock at one point but did not complete the process of getting a temporary restricted license.
Arrangements were made with Johnson’s father to come to the scene and pick up a child who was in the car.
Johnson was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear. He received written warnings for no proof of insurance and unlawful use of license for still having his old license while his status is revoked.

Jack L. Carson Jr., 53, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 10:01 p.m. April 18, in Greenfield on a Guthrie County warrant for the charge of contempt of court - 30-day mittimus.
Carson was immediately transferred and released to the custody of the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office.
