A Creston man involved in a two-car crash Saturday in Creston faces multiple charges.
According to a Creston Police report, about 10:17 p.m., a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by Christopher R. Bird, 34, of Creston, was southbound on Spruce Street when he turned east onto Prairie Street and struck a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. The Silverado was legally parked on the south side of the street and had a trailer attached with two UTVs on it, all of which were damaged.
Bird was taken into custody for OWI and cited for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility (no insurance) and no valid driver’s license.
Damage to the Suburban was estimated at $5,000. Damage to the truck, trailer and UTVs was estimated at $10,000.
