Charlie W. Brown, 39, of Creston was served on an Iowa Department of Correctional Services warrant 8:26 p.m. May 21, while incarcerated in the Union County Jail, for the charge of violation of parole.

According to a preliminary violations report, Brown violated the conditions of his parole by allowing a newborn child into his residence in Creston to live for several days, without approval. Brown also had an email account and CashApp account which were not reported to or approved by correctional services.

While reviewing his cellular phone history, it was discovered Brown had been at a public lake without permission and had been regularly looking at sexually explicit content.

Brown continues to be held in the Union County Jail, there is no bond for the violation.
