Adair County press release - May 6, 2024

Daniel G. Lund, 42, of Des Moines, was taken into custody 8:11 p.m. April 29, at mile marker 97 of Interstate 80, on the charge of driving while revoked.

According to a Stuart Police report, at approximately 7:06 p.m., officers stopped a 2009 Kia Rondo was stopped after it was discovered the registered owner possessed a revoked drivers license for OWI.

Contact was made with the driver, identified as Lund, who was confirmed to be the registered owner. Lund acknowledged his license was revoked and he did not have insurance.

Lund was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Drew D. Steckelberg, 24, of Adair, was taken into custody 10:40 p.m. May 2, in Adair, on three Adair County warrants, all for the charge of failure to appear on the original charges of theft, fifth degree; trespass, first offense and theft, second degree.

According to Adair County District Court documents, Steckelberg was ordered to appear in court Feb. 2 on the original charges and did not.

Steckelberg was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $5,600 cash only bond.
