A Creston man was injured Friday in a one-vehicle accident.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:22 p.m., officers responded to a one-vehicle motorcycle accident on Cherry and Mills streets.

When they arrived, the driver, identified as Michael J. Spaulding, 76, of Creston, was sitting next to his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was bleeding from the head.

Police believe the Harley was northbound on Cherry Street when it crossed the center portion of the road and struck a curb on the west side of the street. After striking the curb, the Harley overturned and scraped across the road and a yard.

Spaulding advised he had consumed alcohol prior to the accident. He was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health for medical treatment. An OWI investigation was completed.

Damage to the Harley was estimated at $7,000.
