Creston Police report - Feb. 15, 2024

Mary A. Giles, 54, of Creston, and Jimmy A. Robertson, 59, of Bridgewater, were taken into custody into 11:30 a.m., Feb. 14 at West Union Street and New York Avenue on the charge of contempt - violation of no contact protective order.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:20 a.m. officers stopped a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Robertson. It was discovered a valid protection order was in place between Robertson and his passenger, identified as Giles. Both were aware of the order and both were in violation of it.

Giles and Robertson were transported to the Union County Jail where they were released from on their own recognizance after being seen by the judge.
