More than $10,000 in damages were caused Thursday in a chain-reaction accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 1 a.m. a 2002 Ford F150, driven by Christopher G. Selvy, 21, of Creston, was stopped in a driveway on Spruce Street. Selvy did not realize the truck was in reverse and hit the accelerator when he reached down to grab something.

The F150 crossed Spruce Street and struck a 1991 Dutch Classic Camper, parked in a yard. The impact caused the camper to hit a 2006 Dodge Ram, parked in front of it, and pushed the camper into a 1990 Ford Econoline, both vehicles were parked in the same yard and unoccupied.

Damage to the F150 was estimated at $2,500, damage to the camper was estimated at $3,000, damage to the Econoline was estimated at $2,500 and damage to the Ram was estimated at $2,500.

No injuries were reported Thursday in a two-vehicle accident at an uncontrolled intersection in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 1:27 p.m. a 2008 Dodge Avenger, driven by Joshua L. Rafter, 25, of Creston, was southbound on Maple Street. At the same time, a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country, driven by William B. Berry, 20, of Creston, was eastbound on Page Street.

The vehicles met at the uncontrolled intersection of the two streets where the Dodge failed to yield the right of way to the Chrysler, causing the vehicles to collide.

Damage to the Dodge was estimated at $2,500 and damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $7,500.
