Creston Police report - Feb. 8, 2024

Manuel L. Richardson, 38, of Creston, was taken into custody 2:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for the charge of failure to appear on the original charges of theft, fourth degree and burglary, third degree.

According to a Union County District Court document, Richardson was ordered to appear Jan. 30 in court for an initial appearance on the original charges and did not.

Richardson was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $7,000 cash bond.

Amanda M. Blakley-Luddington, 26, of Creston, was taken into custody 11:19 p.m. Feb. 7 in the 100 block of East Adams Street on the charge of driving while barred.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:05 p.m. a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox was observed with a taillight out and an unreadable front license plate due to it being bent. The Equinox pulled into a private parking space and Blakley-Luddington was seen in the passenger seat. Two witnesses, who were with Blakley-Luddington, indicated she was the driver and the driver’s seat was pulled up to the steering wheel, matching her stature.

Blakley-Luddington was cited and released on a summons to appear.
