Creston Police report - Dec. 6, 2023

Tlee Jo Jones, 33, of Orient, was taken into custody 12:45 p.m. Dec. 3, at Summit and Elm streets on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:25 p.m. Creston Police K-9 Baxo was deployed during a traffic stop and gave a positive alert to the odor of narcotics. Jones, an occupant of the vehicle was found to have several used syringes in her purse.

Jones was cited at the scene and released on a summons to appear.

Thomas G. Uhl, 19, of Creston, was taken into custody 11:20 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on two counts of harassment, third degree.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 6:40 p.m. two victims received harassing messages on Facebook messenger from Uhl. Both victims sent Uhl messages asking him to leave them alone to which Uhl replied he would not do so. The messages included potential threats of violence.

Uhl made statements admitting he sent the messages and helped identify which message threads went to the correct persons. The profile image associated with the Facebook account also was of the same person, identified as Uhl, in person.

Uhl was transported to the Union County Jail and held without bond until seen by a judge.

Caleb S. Hubbard of Creston contacted police 7:02 a.m. Dec. 5 and reported his truck, a 2006 Ford F150, was stolen from his residence in the 600 block of Levy Street.

At the same approximate time, Cozy Campers Campground, 705 Lakeshore Drive, reported damage to four campsite signs, a picnic table and an electrical box at a campsite, done by a truck, found to be Hubbard’s, which was abandoned at the scene.

Damage to the campground’s property was estimated at $3,100 and the stolen truck was recovered at the scene.
