No injuries were reported Wednesday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:16 a.m. a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Paul Lane, 18, of Creston, was westbound on Prairie Street making a left turn on to Elm Street when he was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Ralph E. Goddard, 88, of Creston, who was northbound on Elm Street.

Lane, who had stopped at the stop sign, said he saw the Impala but believed he had enough time to turn. Lane failed to yield the right of way when he left the stop sign and attempted to turn.

Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $3,000 each.

Three people were transported by ambulance Monday for injuries received in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 34 and Highway 169 South.

According to a Union County report, at approximately 6:26 p.m. a 2004 Ford F150, driven by Jason V. Mullen, 38, of Johnston, was eastbound on Highway 34 when it was hit by a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, driven by Leroy D. Manship, 96, of Afton, who was westbound in the eastbound lane after turning from Highway 169.

Mullen attempted to avoid the Town and Country but was unable.

Mullen and two passengers, Marilea E. Mullen, 65, of Corning, and Chayten Pope, 14, who were all wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, were transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health for injuries. Manship was treated by EMS at the scene and released.

Damage to the F150 was estimated at $10,000 and damage to the Town and Country was estimated at $1,000.
