No citations were issued in a two-vehicle crash Friday in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, about 11:20 a.m. a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Hazin Clayton, 18, of Lorimor, was northbound on Sumner Avenue in the inside lane when a vehicle in front of it stopped to turn. Clayton attempted to change lanes and struck a 2012 Jeep Patriot, driven by Evy Marlin, 17, of Corning.

Clayton did not see the Jeep, also traveling northbound, next to him, before attempting to move into the outside lane.

Damage was estimated at $1,000 to each vehicle.

Multiple injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Sunday in Union County.

According to a Union County report, at approximately 12:46 p.m. a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Scott Mitchell, 57, of Afton, was traveling eastbound on Highway 34 and stopped to turn north onto 2 Lakes Drive, when it was struck from behind by a 2014 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Kaden Briggs, 20, of Creston, who was also eastbound.

The Impala went into the south ditch and struck a utility pole before coming to rest.

Both Mitchell and a passenger in the Silverado, Jeff Smith, 54, complained of possible injuries. Smith was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health but Mitchell was not. Briggs was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health for suspected minor injuries.

Damage to the Silverado was estimated at $8,000, damage to the Impala was estimated at $10,000 and damage to the utility pole was listed but no estimate was given.
