Accidents - Nov. 28, 2023

A Texas woman was cited Tuesday following a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 8:05 a.m. a 2003 Honda Accord, driven by Ruby E. Torres, 18, of Palmview, Texas, was westbound on Townline Street, when Torres mistook the gas pedal for the break pedal while attempting to stop at a red light at the Lincoln Street intersection. The Honda struck a 2022 Ford F250, driven by Charles E. Baker, 47, of Norwalk, who was also westbound and stopped at the light.

Torres was cited for not having a valid driver’s license.

Damage to the Honda was estimated at $3,000 and damage to the Ford was estimated at $500.
