A Creston woman was cited Monday after a two-vehicle accident.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:40 p.m. a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Melissa Raddatz, 54, of Creston, was southbound on Birch Street, crossing Mills Street, when it struck a 2000 Chevrolet C3500 pickup, driven by James Newton, 59, of Diagonal. Newton was eastbound on Mills and had the right of way at the intersection.

Raddatz was cited for failure to obey the stop sign and failure to yield the right of way.

Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $2,500 each.
