No injuries were reported Monday in a three-vehicle accident in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 5:08 p.m. a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Shelby M. Jilek, 24, of Mount Ayr, was southbound on Sumner Street approaching the Sheldon Street/New York Avenue intersection, when the wheels of the vehicle locked up and caused the Traverse to slide into a 2020 Nissan Murano, driven by Susan M. O’Brien, 63, of Creston, who was southbound on Sumner Street and stopped at a red light.
The impact of the collision caused the Murano to run into a 2019 Buick Enclave, driven by Shannel Troutwine, 38, of Creston, which was stopped at the light in front of the Murano. All three drivers had the same description of the accident.
Damage to the vehicles were estimated at $1,000 each.
