Accident - Sept. 27, 2023

No injuries were reported Monday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:36 p.m., a 2014 Ford Explorer, driven by Linda Castillo, 75, of Creston, was southbound on Elm Street, at the same time a 2002 Ford F150, driven by Scotty Giles, 18, of Afton, was westbound on Howard Street. Giles stopped at the intersection but did not see the Explorer and attempted to proceed across Elm Street, colliding with the Explorer.

Damage to the Explorer was estimated at $8,000 and damage to the F150 was estimated at $500.
