No injuries were reported Tuesday when a driver hit a parked car twice in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 8:22 a.m. a 2010 Toyota Highlander, driven by Timothy Gerber, 59, of Lenox, attempted to pull behind a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country parked in a service bay at Walmart but struck the rear bumper of the Town and Country when he attempted to stop. Gerber then attempted to back out but instead struck the Town and Country again.

Gerber told officers his brakes failed but witnesses stated they were functioning properly.

Officers additionally submitted a request to the Iowa Department of Motor Vehicles for Gerber to be subject to re-examination for his driver’s license.
