Jesus Gallo, 22, of Mission, Texas, was taken into custody Sept. 16 at Townline Street and Highway 25 on the charge of OWI, first offense.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s Office report, at approximately 2:15 a.m. deputies stopped a 2011 Ford F150. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Gallo, stated he had been drinking and was on his way home after leaving the bar. Gallo was found to be operating the truck while he was above the legal limit of .08%.

Gallo was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Corey Brown, 45, of Creston, was taken into custody Sept. 15 in the 500 block of Minnesota Avenue in Lorimor on the charges of driving while barred and criminal mischief, fourth degree.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, at approximately 5:50 p.m. Brown operated a 2005 Ford F250 on Minnesota Avenue with a barred license. Brown made written statements and comments admitting to operating a vehicle and knowing his license was barred.

Brown purposely used the truck with a horse trailer attached to reverse into and ram a fence/gate not belonging to him with the intent to cause damage. The damage resulted in the fence being destroyed, bent and unusable.

Brown was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $3,000 cash or surety bond.
