Taylor Co. investigating attempted abduction

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an attempted child abduction in Clearfield.

According to a Taylor County Sheriff’s Office social media post, at approximately 7:15 p.m. Friday, a minor female was approached by an unknown older, white, heavy-set male with a bushy white beard. The suspect was driving a newer silver passenger van with a large back window.

Taylor County is asking anyone in the Clearfield area who may have video footage during this time to check for footage of the vehicle or suspect, or anyone with information on this case, to contact the sheriff’s office at (712) 523-2153.
