A Creston man was injured Sunday afternoon while avoiding a two-vehicle accident.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:46 p.m. June 30, a 2016 Harley Davidson, driven by Cody Witt, 38, of Creston, was westbound on Howard Street when Witt laid the motorcycle down to avoid a collision with a 2002 Santa Fe, driven by Philip M. Davis, 18, of Creston who was northbound on Pine Street.

Davis stopped at the intersection but did not see the motorcycle and proceeded through the intersection, he was issued a citation for failing to yield the right-of-way at an intersection. Witt was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health for minor injuries.

Damage to the Harley was estimated at $1,500.
