Timothy Hudek, 41, of Creston, was taken into custody 6:35 a.m. June 9 in the 600 block of North Cherry Street on the charge of domestic abuse assault, second offense.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 5 a.m. a male, identified as Hudek, was brought to the law enforcement center with lacerations to his head which were bleeding. Hudek told officers his girlfriend had assaulted him with an unknown object after he attempted to take the keys out of a vehicle to prevent her from driving because he believed her to be intoxicated.

Officers then went to a residence on the 700 block of West Spencer Street, to speak with his girlfriend, who answered the door visibly upset. She stated Hudek had forced the door to her vehicle open and began to punch her in the face and pull her hair to get her out of the vehicle. She then hit Hudek in the head numerous times with a Bic lighter which caused him to stop assaulting her. Officers observed blood on her shirt and scratches on her neck and chest. She also provided photos to officers from after the incident of her with a bloody nose. Officers took pictures of the female’s injuries, blood at the scene and messages sent by Hudek which were very aggressive in nature.

Officers then spoke to Hudek again, who was reluctant to provide information but eventually admitted to pushing the female’s head down and showed no remorse or emotion until he was placed under arrest, at which time he said he wished he would’ve beat the female up.

Hudek has a prior domestic assault conviction from 2018 in Madison County.

Hudek was transported to the Union County Jail and held without bond until seen by a judge.
