Accident

A cow was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Union County.

According to a Union County report, at approximately 11:18 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Brandon Parsons, 28, of Shannon City, was southbound on Pole Road when it hit a cow standing in the roadway. The cow died on impact.

The Silverado had front passenger side damage estimated at $3,000. The value of the cow was estimated at $4,000.
