Lisa A. Hoffman, 54, of Creston, was taken into custody at 4:09 p.m. March 11 in the 500 block of North Oak Street on a Union County warrant for failure to appear on the original charges of domestic abuse assault, first offense and probation violation.

According to Union County District Court documents, Hoffman was ordered to appear in court on Feb. 24, but was not there when called.

Hoffman was transported to Adams County Jail where she is being held without bond until seen by a judge.

Eddie W. McHardie, 38, of Kansas, was taken into custody at 4:43 p.m. March 11 in the 800 block of West Taylor Street on two Union County warrants for the charges of failure to serve jail time for the original charge of OWI, second offense and failure to appear for hearing in a juvenile matter.

According to Union County District Court documents, McHardie was ordered to serve jail time on April 7, 2011, for an OWI charged on May 2, 2009. McHardie did not serve the time.

McHardie was transported to the Union County Jail where he is being held on a $5,000 cash-only bond and has to serve his remaining jail time.

Michael R. Meek, 39, of Creston was taken into custody at 4:13 a.m. March 13 in the 100 block of East Taylor Street on the charge of driving while suspended.

According to a Creston Police report, officers stopped a blue 1995 Ford F350. The driver, identified as Meek, was found to have a suspended license.

Meek was transported to the Union County Law Enforcement Center where he was cited and released on a summons to appear.
