Jessie W. Stauffer, 41, of Creston, was taken into custody 2:32 p.m. Jan. 30 at Lucas and Elm streets on the charge of driving while barred.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 2:14 p.m. officers witnessed Stauffer driving a Dodge Ram on Elm Street. The officer knew from a previous arrest Stauffer had a barred license and verified his license status was still barred.

Stauffer was transported to the Union County Jail and held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
