Jon Stewart, 31, of Waterloo, was taken into custody 2:07 a.m. Jan. 8 in Stuart, on a Bremer County warrant for the charge of domestic abuse assault, second offense.
According to a Denver Police report, at approximately 4 a.m. Oct. 31, 2022, Stewart assaulted a female whom he was in an intimate relationship with by hitting her with a belt, leaving redness and a welt.
Stewart was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from to the custody of Bremer County.

Matthew R. Garcia, 29, of Macksburg, was taken into custody 2:25 p.m. Jan. 10 in Red Oak on an Adair County warrant for the charge of failure to appear on the original charge of violation of probation.
According to an Adair County District Court document, Garcia was ordered to appear before the court on Sept. 16, 2022, and did not.
Garcia was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Michael Waddingham, 44, of Orient, was served an Iowa Department of Corrections warrant 11:31 a.m. Jan. 11, while being held in the Adair County Jail, for the charge of violation of parole.
Waddingham continues to be held in the Adair County Jail with an additional hold, without bond,from Iowa Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections.
