James C. Sash, 58, of Creston, was taken in to custody 6:35 p.m. Nov. 18 at his residence on a Union County warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of indecent exposure.

According to Union County District Court documents, Sash was ordered to appear before the court on Nov. 18 for a pretrial conference on the original charge and did not appear as ordered.

Sash was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

On Nov. 17 two guests staying at Quality Inn reported vandalism to their vehicles. Thomas Kroepel of Shenandoah and Michael Sabatke of Minnesota both reported the back driver’s side window being broken out of their trucks. Sabatke also had the steering column in his truck broken. No items were reported as stolen out of either vehicle.

Estimated damage to Sabatke’s truck was $500. Kroepel’s truck had estimated damages of $300.
