Melisa R. Griesinger, 36, of Creston, was taken into custody 12:44 a.m. Nov. 9 on the 1000 block of North Elm Street on the charges of public intoxication and interference with official acts.
According to a Creston Police report, officers responded to the area for a report of a female laying in the reporting party’s driveway. When officers arrived, a female, identified as Griesinger, was observed laying in the middle of a driveway. Her vehicle was parked a short distance away with the lights on, requiring her to have had to have walked on a public roadway to the spot where she found. Griesinger had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, made statements about consuming alcohol earlier and to walking to the location. Griesinger initially consented to a PBT test but then refused. While attempting to place Griesinger in handcuffs she actively resisted officers by pulling away and kicking officers.
