Zackary J. Richardson, 38, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 1:35 a.m. Sept. 25 at 270th Street and Henry A. Wallace for the charge of OWI, first offense.

According to an Adair County report, at approximately 12:31 a.m. while driving north on Henry A. Wallace Road behind a Nissan Titan, deputies observed the truck swerving back and forth in the lane, driving onto the center line and fog line multiple times. Just south of 270th Street the truck was observed crossing the center line into the southbound lane. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, identified as Richardson. An odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected and a can of beer was observed in the center console by the deputy. Richardson admitted he had a few beers. Field sobriety testing was conducted and Richardson consented to take a PBT test. Based on observations and the indicated clues of impairment from testing and a PBT result over .08%, Richardson was taken into custody and transported to Adair County Sheriff’s Office. Richardson consented to provide a breath specimen sample for Datamaster testing which indicated a BAC of .221%.

Richardson was cited and released from Adair County Jail on a summons to appear.

Joshua Naujock, 32, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 5 p.m. Sept. 26 on the 400 block of 4th Street in Greenfield on the charge of trespass, first offense.

According to a Greenfield Police report, at approximately 4:25 p.m. Naujock entered a residence on the 400 block of 4th Street in Greenfield without express permission from the owner of the residence with the intent to commit a public offense.

Naujock was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear.

Nicole Leusink, 39, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 5 p.m. Sept. 26 on the 200 block of NW Street in Greenfield on the charge of disorderly conduct.

According to a Greenfield Police report, at approximately 4:25 p.m. Leusink engaged in a fight or violent behavior in a public place by hitting an unlisted victim with her fist several times.

Leusink was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear.

Kristin Ladd, 38, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 2:27 p.m. Sept. 28 at Washington Street in Fontanelle on the charge of OWI, first offense.

According to an Adair County report, at approximately 12:54 p.m. deputies were called to the Fontanelle area after multiple reports were received of a female driving a blue Ford Sport utility vehicle driving erratically in the area. The vehicle pulled into Casey’s General Store in Fontanelle after deputies initiated a traffic stop. The driver, identified as Ladd had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her person, watery eyes and slowed, slurred speech. Ladd was assisted by officers out of her vehicle after being asked to exit and refusing to comply. Field sobriety testing was conducted but Ladd refused PBT testing, telling deputies she was “drunk.” Based on driving reports received, observations of Ladd, several clues of impairment during testing and Ladd stating she had drank “a lot,” Ladd was taken into custody and transported to Adair County Sheriff’s Office. After being given several opportunities to make phone calls to seek advice on further testing and being asked multiple times if she would consent to provide a specimen, Ladd was marked as refusing to provide a breath sample for Datamaster testing.

Ladd was transported to Adair County Jail where she was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Debrea J. Dukes, 64, of Fontanelle, was taken into custody 9:13 p.m. Sept. 28 on Highway 92 and Lakeview Drive in Greenfield for the charge of OWI, first offense.

According to a Greenfield Police report, at approximately 10:50 p.m. officers observed a silver 2001 Audi traveling on SW Kent Street with no headlights or taillights on. A traffic stop was initiated on Highway 92 west of Lakeview Drive. When officers activated the emergency lights of the patrol vehicle, the Audi swerved toward the center line and then pulled over on the north shoulder of Highway 92. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Dukes, who was observed to have bloodshot, watery eyes. Dukes told officers that she had two or three mixed drinks at a local Greenfield bar. Dukes was asked to step out of her vehicle, while getting out of the vehicle Dukes stumbled toward the highway and continued to stumble while walking toward the patrol unit. During field sobriety testing, Dukes began a test before being told to begin and was told to restart, at which time she walked to the officers car, rested on the front bumper and said she would not be continuing any testing. Dukes did consent to a PBT test which indicated a BAC of over .08%. Dukes was transported to Adair County Sheriff’s Office where she consented to provide a breath specimen for Datamaster testing. The test result was .106% BAC.

Dukes was cited and released from Adair County Jail on a summons to appear.

Christopher Partlow, 50, of Menlo, was taken into custody 1:08 a.m. Sept. 30 on Broad Street in Adair on the charge of OWI, second offense.

According to an Adair Police report, at approximately 11:31 p.m. Sept. 29, officers observed a red Dodge pickup going approximately 38 mph in a 25 mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, identified as Partlow, who officers observed to have the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person, slurred speech, and bloodshot watery eyes. A drink, later found to contain alcohol, was observed in the cup holder inside the truck. Partlow consented to field sobriety testing but after completing one test Partlow told officers he didn’t want to do any more. Based on the one test which showed five of six clues of impairment, Partlow was transported to Adair County Sheriff’s Office for further testing. During transport, Partlow stated he wanted to do a PBT test, which was administered and provided a result over .08%. Partlow consented to provide a breath specimen for testing in the Datamaster and the result of the test indicated a BAC of .116%. Partlow has a previous OWI conviction from 2016.

Partlow was cited and released from Adair County Jail on a summons to appear.

Kristin Ladd, 38, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 11:42 a.m. Sept. 30 at Ridgeview and Highway 25 in Greenfield for the charge of simulated public intoxication.

According to a Greenfield Police Report, officers were called to the Ridge View Park area for a report of an intoxicated female causing problems in a vehicle. When they arrived on scene, a female, identified as Ladd, was observed standing in a public roadway in Ridge View Park. Officers spoke to a male in the vehicle, who stated Ladd wouldn’t shut the door of the vehicle and was causing problems. He also stated Ladd had consumed a handle of vodka in the past day. Ladd confirmed she had consumed the amount but stated she only had drank a little of it during the day. Ladd was observed to have bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverage was detected. She refused a PBT on scene.

Ladd was transported to Adair County Jail where she as released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.

Stephanie D. Klos, 32, of Creston, was taken into custody 1:53 a.m. Oct. 1 near 330th Street and Henry A. Wallace Road on a Union County warrant for the charge of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense.

She was immediately transported and released to the custody of Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Jayson O. Perez, 21, of Monte Alto, Texas, and Fernando Becerra Jr., 27, of Weslaco, Texas, were taken into custody 9:45 p.m. Oct. 1 on the on-ramp of Interstate 80 near mile marker 93 by Stuart Police Department. Perez was charged with willful injury causing serious injury and outside agency warrants from Texas. Becerra was charged with willful injury causing serious injury and no valid drivers license.

According to a Stuart Police report, at approximately 8:32 p.m. officers were dispatched to the AmericInn in Stuart for an assault in progress. Guthrie County deputies were in the area and were first to arrive in the area. When deputies pulled into the parking lot they observed a white car and a black SUV both with Texas license plates pulling out of the lot. Contact was made with a female victim who required immediate medical attention for multiple lacerations and bruising to her face. The victim did confirm the occupants in the vehicles seen leaving the parking lot were occupied by those involved in the assault. Deputies immediately located the black SUV leaving Casey’s General Store and initiated a traffic stop and made contact with two male occupants. The driver, identified as Becerra, told law enforcement things got out of hand at the hotel and he was just trying to get his cousin, the passenger of the SUV, identified as Perez, away from the hotel. While speaking with the two males, law enforcement was advised of assault details, including the weapon used, which would indicate the person(s) responsible would have glass and/blood on them. Becerra and Perez were checked and both were found to have blood on their pants and Perez had blood on his knuckles. Both men were detained and interviewed.

Perez told officers he was just with his cousin and didn’t want to say much to what occurred. He did not deny the blood on his clothing and knuckles was from the incident. Perez was also found to have an outstanding warrant with full extradition out of Texas for three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon. During interviews, Becerra repeatedly told officers he was just trying to get Perez out of the area because he didn’t want to be involved. It was later discovered Becerra did not have a valid drivers license. The victim identified both men in photographs as the men who assaulted her, both hitting her with beer bottles and kicking and hitting her once she was on the ground.

Perez and Becerra were transported to Adair County Jail and held on $10,000 cash or surety bond. Perez is also being held awaiting initial appearance on Texas charges.
