Kyle Kreb, 36, of Creston, was taken into custody 6:36 p.m. Sept. 28 on Monroe Street for the charges of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, second offense; possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, second offense; possession with intent to manufacture/deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 6:05 p.m. officers stopped a 2006 Chevy Impala on for not having a front license plate. When approaching the vehicle, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside. Kreb was detained by officers after being argumentative and noncompliant when asked to step aside. During a search of the vehicle a backpack containing marijuana, a scale, methamphetamine and plastic bags often used to distribute narcotics, was found. The backpack was determined to belong to Kreb.

Kreb was transported to Union County Jail and held without bond until seen by the magistrate.

Amanda O. Jones, 38, of Creston, was taken into custody 6:09 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for the charge of possession of controlled substance - methamphetamine, second offense.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 2:46 a.m. June 13, officers were called to the 800 block of West Adams Street for a suspicious white van circling the block. Officers located a vehicle matching the reported description parked behind the apartment building at 809 West Adams Street and made contact with the driver, identified as Jones. Creston Police K9 Baxo was deployed and gave a positive alert for the odor of narcotics. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, baggies with a white crystalline residue were located in Jones’s belongings. The baggies were sent for testing and lab results identified the substance as methamphetamine.

Jones was transported to Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.

James C Sash, 58, of Creston, was taken into custody 8:26 p.m. Sept. 28 on the 700 block of West Adams Street and charged with indecent exposure.

No details were available on the charge.

Sash was transported to Union County Jail and held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.
