No injuries were reported in an one vehicle accident in Creston Tuesday evening.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 6 p.m. Sept. 13, Lawrence Dorgan, 83, of Creston drove his 1995 Dodge Dakota pickup through his yard on the southeast corner of Chestnut and Prairie streets to pick up sticks. When Dorgan exited the truck, he failed to put the truck in park. The vehicle rolled backward out of the yard, across the intersection and into a fire hydrant on the northwest corner of the intersection before stopping.
The estimated damage done to the truck was $1,500. The fire hydrant was not damaged.
