Holly Donehoo, 36, of Mount Ayr, was taken into custody 5 p.m Aug. 12 on Cherry Street on an Union County warrant for the charge of violation of probation.

According to Department of Correctional Services report, Donehoo was arrested Oct. 19, 2021, for the charge of possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine. As part of a plea agreement, Donehoo was granted a deferred judgement and placed on probation for one year Feb. 11. Donehoo has reportedly violated the terms of her probation by failing to obtain a substance abuse evaluation as required, has had no contact with probation and her whereabouts were listed as unknown by probation on July 11 and on July 7, Donehoo provided a urine sample that tested positive for methamphetamine.

She was transported to Adams County Jail were she was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Brandon Whitfield, 35, of Creston, was taken into custody 9 p.m. Aug. 12 on Adams Street and charged with eluding while exceeding speed limit by 25 miles per hour or more.

According to a Creston Police report, a white 1997 Jeep Cherokee was observed traveling north on Elm Street without taillights. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it accelerated in speed, and traveled several miles before stopping. During that time, the vehicle ran several stop signs and drove through residential areas at speeds more than double the posted limits, in excess of 70 miles per hour. The vehicle did stop near the Calvary Cemetery and the driver was identified as Whitfield.

Whitfield was transported to Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.

James Michelson, 29, of Creston was taken into custody 2:28 p.m Aug. 14 at the intersection of Lucas and Pine streets and charged with driving while suspended and an Adair County Warrant for violation of probation.

According to a Creston Police report, Michelson was cited and released on local charges and is awaiting transport to Adair County.
