Parrish B. Wright, 22, of Atlantic, was taken into custody 10:14 a.m. May 31 on Highway 148 North near Corning. She was charged with driving while suspended.

According to an Adams County report, a traffic stop was initiated on a 2018 Jeep Compass for failing to display a front license plate. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Wright, was ran by deputies and came back as being suspended in Iowa.

Wright was transported to Adams County Jail and held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Shawn A. Farlow, 19, of Walnut, was charged with assault on June 5 while being held in the Adams County Jail.

According to an Adams County report, at approximately 7:45 p.m. on June 5, jail staff notified deputies of a fight that had just occurred in the jail. Deputies observed a male in a jail cell holding the eye area of his face, later discovering a deep cut to the area that required stitches. Farlow was interviewed and stated he had struck the inmate in the face, making contact twice. Farlow admitted to the assault and stated he would “sign the guilty papers now,” according to law enforcement that interviewed him.

Farlow continues to be held in the Adams County Jail with an additional $1,000 bond.

Jose Dubon Jr., 20, of Omaha, Nebraska, was taken into custody during a traffic stop at Highway 34 and Quince Avenue. Dubon was charged with possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to an Adams County report, a traffic stop was initiated on a 2017 Jeep Cherokee near the intersection of Highway 34 and Quince Avenue for speeding. During the traffic stop, a probable cause search was conducted by law enforcement. In the back area of the vehicle a book bag containing a glass jar with six grams of a green leafy substance that field tested positive as marijuana. Also located in the book bag were a silver grinder and two pipes that had what appeared to be marijuana residue in them.

Dubon was transported to the Adams County Jail and held on $1,300 cash or surety bond.

Margaret J. Williams, 33, of Creston, was taken into custody 9:14 p.m. June 10 during a traffic stop at 190th Street and Pear Avenue. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to an Adams County report, Williams was the driver of a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer that was stopped for a license plate lamp violation. Assisting in the stop was Creston Police K9 Baxo, who was deployed and gave a positive alert for narcotics. During a probable cause search, drug paraphernalia containing marijuana residue and two partially smoked blunts containing a green leafy substance that field tested positive for marijuana in a field test were located in the driver and passenger side doors. During an interview, Williams told law enforcement that these items were hers.

She was transported to the Adams County Jail where she was later released from after posting $1,300 cash bond.

During the same traffic stop, Johnnie T. Lovell, 41, of Creston, was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, third or subsequent offense; possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for open container as a passenger over the legal age of 21.

He was transported to the Adams County Jail where he was later released from after posting $2,300 cash bond.

Brianna J. Long, 18, of Council Bluffs, was taken into custody at 8:35 p.m. June 11 during a traffic stop at Highway 148 and Jonquil Road on a Pottawattamie County warrant for the charge of failure to appear on the original charge of theft, forth degree.

According to a Pottawattamie County District Court document, Long was scheduled to appear in court on May 25 and did not appear.

She was transported to the Adams County Jail and held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.
