Laura L. Lagois, 26, of Sioux City, was taken into custody 6:48 p.m. June 2 on the 900 block of South Sumner Street and charged with OWI, first offense.
According to a Creston Police report, Lagois was observed driving north on Sumner Street in a reckless manner. A traffic stop was initiated, in which Lagois exited her vehicle and began walking. She was told by officers to go back to the car at which time Lagois made statement that she had been drinking. Lagois was then asked to sit in the front seat of the patrol unit while officers checked her license information. Officers observed that she had bloodshot watery eyes and an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her person. Lagois consented to all field sobriety tests, during which, officers observed multiple clues of impairment. Lagois consented to a PBT, the result indicated a BAC of over .08. Lagois was transported to the Union County Law Enforcement Center and agreed to provide a breath sample for Data Master testing. The breath sample provided showed a BAC test result of .130%.
Lagois was released after posting bond in the amount $1,000 cash or surety.

Noah A. Young, 22, of Creston was taken into custody 1:58 a.m. on June 3 in Creston on a Union County warrant for the charge of criminal mischief, fifth degree.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:34 p.m. on May 28, Young came out of a residence on Adams Street yelling at an adult male. Young then kicked the male’s truck and hit the passenger side window of the truck, causing it to break.
Young was transported to the Union County Jail where he is being held on $300 cash or surety bond.

Monica N. Johnston, 23, of Creston, was taken into custody June 3 at her residence on a Union County warrant charging her with assault causing bodily injury.
According to a Creston Police report at approximately 2:30 a.m. May 22, officers responded to a residence on West Adams street in reference to a report of an assault. When officers arrived, an adult male victim reported that he had been punched in the eye by a female. Both the victim and a witness identified the female as Johnston, who had left the scene before officers arrived.
Johnston was transported to the Adams County Jail where she is being held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.
