Creston Police

Walter Anthony Hodgkins, 41, of Creston, was taken into custody 3 p.m. May 18, on the 600 block of Sheldon Street and charged with assault.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were called to a fight in progress in the parking lot of Akin Building Center. When officers arrived they made contact with a male subject, identified as Hodgkins, who admitted to assaulting an individual inside the store by punching the victim in the face.

Hodgkins was cited at the scene and released on a summons to appear.

Christopher T. Murray of Creston, made a report 12:17 p.m. May 18, that while his trailer was parked on the 1100 block of East Mills Street, the wench was stolen off of it.

The estimated value of loss reported as $700.
