John R. Mullenix, 61, of Red Oak, was taken into custody 2:15 p.m. May 18, near Sycamore and 270th streets, on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, urinating or defecating in public and eluding.

According to a Adams County Sheriff’s report, Mullenix was observed and reported to law enforcement for urinating in the parking lot of Casey’s General Store in Corning. A deputy observed a Chevrolet Silverado, matching the description of the vehicle reported that Mullenix was driving. The deputy activated his emergency lights and sirens to initiate traffic stop, but the truck did not stop despite the visual and audible signals. According to the report, the truck, driven by Mullinex, came to a complete stop just before entering Lenox. Mullinex was found to have possession of a deer antler that was made into a marijuana pipe.

Mullinex was transported to Adams County Jail and held on $1,600 cash bond.
