Jennifer Troxel, 32, of Adair was charged 11:16 p.m. in Casey for driving with a denied or revoked license and operating while intoxicated.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s Report, law enforcement observed a vehicle operating on 105th Street crossing McPherson Street in Casey onto East Hayes Street. As officers followed the vehicle east out of Casey on 350th Street, they noticed a license plate lamp and center brake light were not working.

As the vehicle turned north, officers initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle turned into a property access drive. Upon making contact with a female in the driver’s seat and a male in the passenger’s seat, who identified himself as Geoff Avey. Avey stated he didn’t have a valid license and Troxel stated she did not have any ID and eventually stated to officers her license was revoked.

Upon running the defendant’s name and date of birth, it was learned her license was revoked for an OWI test failure.

Troxel was cited and released, given written warnings for the equipment violations.

Jereamy Rice, 43, of Stuart, was charged 12:40 a.m. Jan. 10 for driving while barred and second degree harassment.

Officers were called to a residence in Stuart, which led to the harassment charges. The driving offense was for an unrelated warrant.

Rice was held on $3,000 cash or surety bond and released on bond the evening of Jan. 10.

Kristina Johnson, 40, of Stuart was charged 6:42 p.m. Jan. 11 for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance first, second or third offense, and child endangerment-methamphetamine exposure.

According to an Adair County Sheriff Report, Stuart police officers were called to a residence in Stuart because there was drug paraphernalia located in the bedroom of the residence.

Upon arrival, officers sought permission to enter the residence and to examine the house. They went to the bedroom and found a collection of glass bongs, pipes and baggies. One of the bongs and multiple pipes had a dried white residue on them consistent with methamphetamine. An additional glass pipe was found in Johnson’s purse and two bongs filled with liquid were found in the bathroom under the sink. Numerous other items of paraphernalia were located in a locked red box, along with 12 baggies. Many of them contained white crystalline residue consistent with methamphetamine. On a shelf above the toilet, a glass mirror was located with glass pipes, razor blade and tubing. The bongs and items in the mirror above the toilet were accessible to anyone, including children.

Johnson was released on her own recognizance.

Andrew Meissner, 26, of Eagan, Minnesota, was charged 3:23 a.m. Jan. 13 with possession of a controlled substance-marijuana first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, a trooper was patrolling around the 75 mile marker on Interstate 80 when they observed a vehicle traveling westbound much faster than the speed limit. The vehicle was observed by radar to be traveling at 90 mph in a 70 mph speed zone.

A traffic stop was initiated at the 72 mile marker on a black Chrysler 300. The driver handed officers a Minnesota driver’s license and identified himself as Meissner. An additional officer showed up with a K9 and the K9 indicated on the vehicle. Meissner handed officers a jar with a green plant-like material in it. A second jar was located with more plant-like material in it, and a grinder.

Meissner was being held in the Adair County Jail on $1,300 cash or surety bond and was released later after posting bond.
